What it does
A bubble, not a map
Your speed and the road limit, on top of the navigator you already use. Drag it, pinch to resize, tap to minimise.
Alerts that follow your speed
The warning distance is speed × warning time, from 200 m to 3 km. At 120 km/h you get plenty of notice; in town it does not warn too early.
Fixed, red light and average speed
In average-speed sections it shows your live average and the kilometres left.
Offline
The database lives on your phone. You only need the internet to update it.
Report cameras
One big button, one tap. A camera is published once several different drivers confirm it.
Day and night
The bubble switches by the sun where you are, just like Maps and Waze.
How it works
- Grant location and the permission to display over other apps.
- RadarBIP downloads the cameras for your area only. After that it needs no connection.
- Open Google Maps or Waze and drive: the bubble stays on top and the alert sounds before every camera.
Your location stays on your phone
No accounts, no ads, no analytics. Your position is processed on the device and no trip history is kept. The only thing sent is the spot of a camera when you choose to report it.
Where it works
Worldwide, with two legal exceptions: in Germany, Austria and Switzerland no camera alerts are given, and in France only danger zones are shown, without the exact spot.
Android Auto
The bubble cannot be shown on the car screen: Google does not allow third-party apps to draw over the navigator. The sound alert does work.
